Simple Excel Tools To Build Your Own Cloud Data

Excel Add-ins To Build & Control Your Cloud Tables

We offer a simple way to get your business into the cloud using Excel. Easily create tables in an Azure database using our Table Creator Excel add-in. Specify your column data types simply using Excel data types Text, Number and Date. Our solutions are aimed mainly at Excel users who are not database savvy, but we also offer adapters for those who want to apply complicated SQL statements.

The image to the right shows our table creation template in Excel. To recreate the same table with extra columns you just locate the Excel file that you originally used, insert columns and create the table again. This is important for flexibility, especially when building new processes.

Ordered Central Data

Many businesses use detailed Excel spreadsheets to manage their data, when they should be using a central database. A database ensures data integrity and makes life easier by avoiding hidden cells, formulas and so on. Data can be edited/added to in one place, without having to exchange multiple emails. We offer a host of applications inside Excel that you can install on various machines in your company depending on each user's role, to upload data, edit mistakes and view reports.

Upload Excel Data From Multiple Locations

Upload To Any Cloud/Azure SQL Table

Upload hundreds or thousands of rows of data rapidly from an Excel sheet to a cloud/Azure SQL table. This is especially useful in operations where multiple branches or locations need to regularly send data to a central database. Our Uploader Excel Add-in will connect to any cloud/Azure SQL database where you will see a drop down list of tables on the Excel ribbon. Choose a table and the Excel sheet will be prepared with the table columns and notes showing what to enter (see the image to the right).

Validate Data - Feedback In Cell Notes

When you click the upload button on the Excel ribbon, the data on the spreadsheet will first be checked to see if it matches the data type requirements for the database. Any cells that contain invalid data will be highlighted in orange with a note explaining the data type error. Further validation specified by a user will then be checked.

User-Defined Validation Rules

Validation rules can be set up by an Excel user with the right permission levels. These are stored in a cloud/Azure SQL table and govern the data being uploaded.

Editing Cloud Data in Excel

The Easiest Way To Edit Cloud Database Data

Drag and Drop your cloud/Azure table into our Vertical Mirror inside Excel.

Edit in Excel. Use Excel's powerful editing to edit thousands of cells.

Mirror your Excel changes in our task pane by clicking "Mirror Changes".

Highlighted Cells track your changes. Check these then commit them to your database.

Horizontal Mirror. This is similar offering a wider pane where you see more columns.

Load Data Ranges

Large Tables often require functionality to load limited records or rows. You can select a range of data based on a particular column and load this into the mirror pane.

Data Types are detected by our software and the correct selection controls loaded for your ease of use.

Filtering Cloud Data in Excel

Multi-Layered Cloud Database Filter

Our Filter Task Pane (image to the right) in Excel allows you to find the data you need quickly and easily. The example in the image shows the "Customers" table being filtered by "Company Name" and then by "Last Name"

Each Filter Layer allows you to use either a range of data, a value or a list of unique items to choose from. The system automatically detects whether the table column is a date, number,or text type and offers the approriate selection controls.

A count of the rows or records can be done at each filter level, which narrows the data based on the level above

Genrates Queries Used To Automate Your Daily Work

SQL Statements are automatically generated and can be further edited in our Custom SQL task pane or used as a Saved Query that can be run at any time or included as a step to automate your daily tasks with our Automator Excel Add-in.
